Egypt National Team Reveals Details of Scuffle with US Security
What Happened?
The Egypt national team said that a Dallas police officer pushed team manager Ibrahim Hassan and player Mahmoud Hassan (Trezeguet) as they tried to take a photo with a World Cup 2026 fan.
Local media reported that the incident occurred at the team's hotel on Thursday.
Reaction
Egypt's media officer, Mohamed Murad, revealed details of the incident, saying "A man and his son asked to take a photo with Ibrahim Hassan and Trezeguet, and the team manager agreed. However, a security officer intervened and pushed the fan, as well as Trezeguet and Ibrahim Hassan, despite the player and team manager being in their designated area".
